The No. 1 Maryland Terrapins defeated the No. 8 Yale Bulldogs 12-11 Saturday afternoon. After Maryland jumped out to a 11-5 lead, Yale bounced back, outscoring the Terps 6-1 over the game’s final 23 minutes. However, Maryland held on with help by a pair of lightning delays, including one with just 37 seconds remaining. The Terrapins advance to 4-0 with the win while Yale drops to 1-1.
Senior Colin Heacock led the Terps with three goals and a pair of assists while goalie Dan Morris made 11 saves.
The undefeated Terrapins will travel to Notre Dame for a noon matchup on March 4.
