The Maryland Men’s soccer team squared off against Albany Thursday, November 17th at Ludwig Field in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Terps were looking to break their five game losing streak and get back on the right foot for a possible post season run. However, with Albany packing back into their defensive third, the Terps struggled to create any true goal scoring chances. While the Terps were relatively sound on the defensive side of things, their inability to score resulted in a scoreless match through double overtime. Maryland ultimately fell to Albany in penalties, ending their 2017-2018 season in disappointment. The Terps will look to bounce back next year.
