On Saturday, April 22, 40,000 people congregated on Constitution Ave. in Washington. The March for Science had brought them together on a rainy day with the common goal of advocating for the adoption of scientific policies and an increase in research and design funding from the federal government. The Maryland women’s lacrosse team beat Michigan 20-7 Saturday. The Terps retained their No. 1 ranking and extended their winning streak to 11-0. Junior attacker Megan Whittle, sophomore midfielder Jen Giles, freshman midfielder Kali Hartshorn and freshman attacker Brindi Griffin all scored hat tricks, while senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg had three assists.
